Real Madrid have lost three consecutive La Liga games for the first time since May 2009 after a devastating 5-1 defeat to Barcelona in Sunday's El Clasico.

It really isn't look good at the Bernabeu right now and to add insult to injury, Los Blancos are now closer to the bottom 3 than they are to top-of-the-table Barcelona.

The most shocking stat to come out of this weekend's action? We reckon so.

It was a disaster from start to finish for Madrid, who are only six points away from struggling Leganes, who sit in 18th place.

Barcelona, on the other hand, are seven points ahead of their bitter rivals - who would have guessed this outcome at the start of the season?

Ernesto Valverde's Barcelona side walked away from the Camp Nou with all three points thanks to a hat-trick from Luis Suarez.

Philippe Coutinho and Arturo Vidal also found the scoresheet in an emphatic night for Blaugrana and their fans, as fans voiced their displeasure at under-fire boss Julen Lopetegui.

Suarez, who was irresistible throughout, completed his hat-trick with just under ten minutes remaining, piling further misery on a Real Madrid side who are currently going through a truly abysmal run of form in La Liga.

Can Real Madrid challenge for this season's league title? Or have they already blew it?
