For years, squad numbers have been used to identify and distinguish players on the field of play.
The lower-ranked numbers are traditionally given to goalkeepers and defenders while the higher-ranked numbers, like nine and 10, are often handed to the team's centre forward or main striker.
These have become a solid tradition in the game so when someone comes along and picks an 'unconventional' choice, then things can get a little confusing.
For example, when Italian side Sampdoria gave goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano the number two shirt back in 2014, the traditional football fan questioned everything.
The unusual squad number is happening more and more in modern football, but how many can you identify in the below quiz?
Let us know your score out of 18 in the comments - and challenge a mate while you're at it to see if they can beat your total. Good luck!
