Piers Morgan Is Calling For Arsenal Supporters To Start Boycotting Matches

This is actually happening.

Lifelong Arsenal supporter Piers Morgan is calling for his fellow fans to boycott the club's matches in the wake of yesterday's Carabao Cup Final defeat at the hands of Manchester City.

The Gunners went into the match hoping to build on their positive record at Wembley Stadium, but they were soon on the ropes against Pep Guardiola's side, and eventually went on to lose comfortably 3-0.

Morgan has been a vocal critic of manager Arsene Wenger for some time now, but speaking to Jim White on talkSPORT this afternoon he took his protests to the next level, and asked fans to stop handing over their hard-earned cash.

Whilst he's always openly slaughtered Wenger and his tactics for the best part of a decade now, Morgan has always still attended matches at the Emirates and supported the team.

It remains to be seen if any other Gooners out there will follow his lead and stay away - starting with Thursday's match, which is ironically against Man City.

What do you think of his comments?

In other news, Jack Wilshere has named the three decisions that went against Arsenal in his latest Instagram post.

"Hard to put into words my emotions about yesterday." he said on Instagram.

"City are a good team and deserved to win yesterday. A lot of people have had their say on us and we have to accept criticism when we lose. That being said i can't accept some of the decisions that went against us yesterday."

"What ever you say about the first goal, its a foul. The second goal is offside. There should have been a second yellow in the first half. Yes this happens in football but its still hard to accept.

And people will say we are looking for excuses but these are facts. Anyway we need to respond, starting on Thursday.

Thanks to all the gooners for your support and trust me we feel the same but we need to stick together."

Wilshere's response to Sunday's defeat received quite the reaction on social media.
