Paris Saint-Germain were caught by complete surprise in injury time as Lorient launched a stunning counterattack and Terem Moffi scored to seal a shock 3-2 win.

Lorient midfielder Laurent Abergel stunned PSG in the first half as he opened the scoring at the Stade du Moustoir on Sunday.

Neymar pulled PSG level before half-time as he fired past Matthieu Dreyer from the spot-kick.

The 28-year-old Brazilian superstar then put his side into the lead in the second half as he converted another penalty.

However, Yoane Wissa pulled Lorient back into the match in the 80th minute before the French side sealed a shock victory over Mauricio Pochettino's men in injury time.

PSG pressed high up the pitch before Kylian Mbappe was dispossessed inside the box by Lorient's defence.

Abergel then delivered a brilliant long ball up the pitch and Moffi wasted no time to pounce on the opportunity as he charged upfield.

Moffi raced away from a desperate PSG defender and kept his composure as he calmly slotted the ball past Sergio Rico.

Pochettino, who was appointed PSG manager earlier this month, could only watch on in disbelief as he suffered his first defeat in charge of the defending French champions.

Lorient players rubbed salt into the wound of the PSG players earlier in the match when they imitated Erling Haaland's celebration after scoring their equaliser.

PSG players were left a little bit rattled after a fake Snapchat picture showed Borussia Dortmund striker Haaland mocking them after their Champions League clash last season.

Pochettino's PSG side are currently third in Ligue 1 and are one point behind league leaders Lyon.

Lille, who are second in the table, could climb ahead of Lyon should they beat Dijon at the Stade Pierre Mauroy today.

PSG will face Nimes Olympique next at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday before travelling away to Marseille on Sunday.
