Mesut Ozil Pulls Off Outrageous Touch In The Build-Up To Arsenal's Third Goal

Mesut Ozil produced an outrageous touch in the build-up to Arsenal's third goal against Liverpool, and their fans have showered the returning star with huge praise.

Ozil has been left out of Arsenal's squad for six consecutive games and he has made just one Premier League appearance this season.

But Unai Emery has handed the German a spot in the starting line-up in Wednesday's League Cup clash and the 31-year-old midfielder repaid his manager's faith with a superb first-half performance.

Ozil pulled the strings in the attacking third, including a stunning touch for his side's third goal of the night.

He quickly latched onto a stray past and deftly set-up Bukayo Saka who squared the ball to Gabriel Martinelli who found the back of the net from close range.

Needless to say, Ozil's outing got Arsenal fans talking on social media.

"We score three against Liverpool at Anfield...all after Ozil starts....coincidence?" one Twitter user wrote.

A second Tweeted: "MESUT OZIL WHAT A TOUCH."

Another added: "DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHY WE WANT OZIL FREED???????"

Arsenal currently lead 3-2 at the break.
