Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley has revealed the club could be sold by the start of the January transfer window, as Magpies fans desperately hope manager Rafa Benitez is handed a hefty kitty to strengthen his squad.
The St. James's Park side looked prime candidates for relegation from the Premier League this season after a woeful start to the season.

But three wins from their last four games have things looking a little more bright on Tyneside.
Even still, Saturday's 3-0 defeat at home to West Ham was a timely reminder of the help Benitez needs, and was accompanied by a 'late walk-in' protest from thousands of supporters, revolting against Ashley's ownership.
And having been reportedly close to selling up in the past, Ashley revealed in a Sky News interview earlier today that his exit could finally be on the cards, with talks of a potential sale already at an advanced stage.
