It's fair to say that Sky Sports commentator Martin Tyler has been accused of a bias towards Manchester United during his established career.

Tyler, who has spent 25 years behind the mic, has been called out for 'over-celebrating' a number of Manchester United goals, including an Anthony Martial strike against Tottenham in October last year.

In addition, plenty feel like Tyler shows far less enthusiasm when other teams score, but is the commentator actually a Manchester United supporter?

In an interview with The Mirror, the 74-year-old put those rumours to bed by revealing who he actually follows - National League side Woking F.C.

In fact, Tyler is actually assistant manager at his boyhood club.

"I don't do social media and this is one of the reasons why. They all think I support somebody. I support Woking and I am quite happy to say that." he said.

"I first went to Woking when I was eight years old and it was the first football I had ever seen, I'm still in touch with the club although I coach at a level just below them so it's difficult to see them too much now. They've always been my team.

Tyler went on to slam suggestions that he follows another Premier League side, referring back to the time he got 'excited' about Sergio Aguero's famous goal to win Manchester City the league.

He even said he's 'probably the only commentator to not have a Premier League team':

"This thing where you have to have a Premier League team is garbage. It's the accident of birth. It's the one thing that irks me when people say you must have a Premier League team, I absolutely, categorically don't." he said.

"How can I be a Man United fan when I've got excited about Aguero. All I do is react to the game.

"It's a great bonus to not have a Premier League team. I'm probably the only commentator to not have a Premier League club."

So there we go.

Martin Tyler has confirmed that he is NOT a Manchester United supporter. Who'd have thought it.
