Marcelo Stopping The Ball Dead From A Cross-Field Pass Is Still The Most Satisfying Touch Ever

To celebrate Marcelo's 32nd birthday, we bring you one of his greatest ever moments...

Real Madrid's trip to the Allianz Arena in April 2018 wasn't exactly a Champions League classic, but a moment involving Marcelo in the 59th minute satisfied our footballing needs in Munich that night.

Seriously though, if you challenged Marcelo to trap the ball like he did from Raphael Varane's cross field ball again, then he'd definitely struggle to repeat it.

Even if he did try another 100 times. Unbelievable.

We seriously can't stop watching the sheer audacity of this touch. It's a very satisfying watch, I'm sure you'll all agree.

This isn't the first time Marcelo has left us in awe because of his footballing ability.

The Madrid derby between Real and Atletico just months earlier wasn't quite the cracker we were hoping for either, but it did feature the most outrageous touch ever from, you guessed it, Marcelo.

Unquestionably, the absolute highlight of the 1-1 draw was Marcelo's mesmeric touch to give the ball to Isco late in the game.

The Brazilian, as we know, is blessed with loads of technical ability and he displayed just what he's capable of by skillfully flicking the ball over Gabi to feed Isco all in one motion.

It was a piece of play you could watch on loop without getting bored.

He made it look like it was the easiest thing in the world and it really wasn't.

Right anyway, I'm going to a dark room to watch Marcelo's touch against Bayern on repeat because it's the most satisfying thing, ever.
