Manchester United Post Clip Of Daniel James Doing A Sprint Test
Manchester United have posted a remarkable clip of Daniel James undergoing a sprint test and he's ridiculously quick.
James, who was snapped up from Swansea City, has traveled to Australia for the club's pre-season tour and he's made an instant impression on his new teammates.
He topped every pre-season fitness test. From bleep tests to short sprints.
And United have uploaded a short video of James going through his paces and it makes for incredible viewing:
The Welsh international prepared himself for pre-season by going on a individual training programme in Dubai, and his hard work has paid off.
A United source reportedly said: "The word from Carrington is very encouraging on young James.
"He is clearly ahead of the game. He has topped all the early fitness charts. Ole was impressed with seeing him doing his own work.
"He came out top in the sprints, even the short ones, by a good margin of five or so yards.
"He did one 50-metre sprint that left team-mates five metres behind him and also maxing out the bleep test."
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes United is the perfect environment for the 21-year-old to continue his development.
"Daniel is an exciting young winger with lots of skills, vision, exceptional pace and a good work ethic. He had a great season with Swansea City and has all the attributes needed to become a Manchester United player," he said after securing his services on a five-year contract.
"We are delighted he has signed with our club and we are all looking forward to working with him. This is the perfect environment for Daniel to continue his development."
Marcus on @Daniel_James_97 and @AWBissaka: "I've always said it's easy to settle into this team, especially if you're a young player, so they've slid right in. It's probably the perfect place for them to keep developing their football." #MUFC #MUTOUR pic.twitter.com/ThbVkYUnDN- Manchester United (@ManUtd) July 10, 2019
