Manchester United fans are furious because they reckon Victor Lindelof was fouled for West Brom's goal.

The hosts wasted no time in opening the scoring as Mbaye Diagne headed home from close range in the second minute.

Diagne "mauled" Lindelof to connect with Conor Gallagher's cross, leaving the Swedish defender and Harry Maguire asking for a foul.

VAR failed to intervene as West Brom's early goal stood to the dismay of United supporters on social media.

They are adamant that there was an infringement on Lindelof during the goal while lamenting the lack of video review.

One Twitter user wrote: "VAR working well as usual."

A second tweeted: "Agree that's a foul but he's got to do better honestly."

A third added: "I don't mind goals like this standing IF all goals like this stand. Maguire va Burnley, Martial vs Sheffield Utd."

West Brom led until Bruno Fernandes levelled with a terrific strike.
