Romelu Lukaku Scores Penalty For Inter Milan, Fans Immediately Point Out The Irony

Romelu Lukaku scored from the penalty spot to record his second Inter Milan goal following his transfer from Manchester United, and football fans immediately pointed out the irony.

United haven't had much luck from the spot with both Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford failing to convert penalties against Wolves and Crystal Palace, respectively.

However, former Red Lukaku has no trouble in finding the back of the net from the spot as he netted a penalty for Inter Milan on Sunday, which sent social media into overdrive.

That wasn't the only takeaway from his successful penalty. Lukaku was also subject to vile racist abuse as he stepped up to take the penalty.

A section of Cagliari fans racially abused the Belgium striker with monkey chants.

Lukaku, meanwhile, has now scored two Serie A goals in two games following his £74 million summer switch.
