Lorenzo Insigne Always Stands Next To The Tallest Mascot And People Have A Theory

Surely this isn't a coincidence?

Italy international and Napoli forward Lorenzo Insigne once revealed that he almost quit football after being constantly told he was too small to make it as a professional.

In an interview with UEFA, Insigne spoke about the moment he wanted to quit football all together.

"They used to say I had some talent, but was too short. At one point, I wanted to quit football, as the scouts all told me the same thing and I thought it might be futile to continue. Then I had a trial with Napoli and it went well."

Here's a brilliant interview with Insigne about his height:

The 26-year-old may be one of the smallest players in world football at 5ft 3, but he has proved the doubters wrong.

He has forged a reputation as a player who uses his low centre of gravity and pace to make a real impact in games.

In fact, he is a regular in the Italian national side and started in Italy 2-0 defeat to Argentina on Friday night.

Unfortunately for the forward, everyone was talking about his height before kick-off - when he was pictured with another very tall mascot.

This isn't the first time this has happened and people think this isn't a coincidence.

Is the person in charge of organising mascots joking around here?
