Three days after Mohamed Salah landed awkwardly on his shoulder after Sergio Ramos brought him down in the Champions League final, Liverpool's physio has revealed the true extent of the injury.

Ruben Pons, who joined the club as a physio in 2014, has confirmed that the Egyptian will be out for between three to four weeks.

He also states that the club are trying to reduce deadlines in a bid to get him back as soon as possible ahead of the World Cup next month.

In an interview with Spanish publication Marca, Pons said when Salah is likely to return from the injury:

"Once we knew the injury we planned the treatment, he is sad about what happened but he is totally focused on recovery and seeing when he can be ready." he said.

"He is going to mark the recovery times, in principle it will be from three to four weeks but we are going to try to reduce those deadlines, that's the big goal."

It was reported on Sunday that Salah's results were positive, according to King Fut, who claimed Salah will represent Egypt in Russia.

Whether the 25-year-old will be fit for their opening World Cup game against Uruguay remains to be seen, though the Egyptian FA, and Liverpool's physio team, seem to be relatively confident that he'll feature versus Russia and Saudi Arabia on June 19th and June 25th.

Here's hoping Salah makes Egypt's opening game of the tournament on June 19th.
