So, an Everton fan wanted Manchester City to win last night because when he was a kid, a Liverpool supporter once spray-painted 'LFC' on his dog.

Incredible bitterness.

Many, many Evertonians were actually rooting for City on Wednesday to spoil Liverpool's chances of winning the Premier League title.

And it looked like Marco Silva didn't want Liverpool to win the league, either. He dropped both Richarlison and Gylfi Sigurdsson from his starting XI.

Manchester City eventually secured all-three league points and in doing so, went above Liverpool to the top of the league on goal difference.

Liverpool, though, have the chance to regain top spot on Saturday when they host Bournemouth.

Jurgen Klopp will be hoping for a positive result following back-to-back draws against Leicester City and West Ham United.

After Mondays 1-1 draw with the 'Hammers', social media jumped on Liverpool and called them 'bottlers'.

However, a Liverpool fan brilliantly refuted such claim with an eye-opening thread.

Will Liverpool get their hands on the prestigious silverware? Let us know what you think.
