Former England captain David Beckham has made a very bold prediction ahead of England's second World Cup game against Panama on Sunday afternoon,

Gareth Southgate's side started their campaign with a narrow 2-1 win over Tunisia, but Beckham reckons that they have the potential to go all the way and reach the World Cup final next month.

He also believes that Argentina will face off against England, despite struggling against Iceland in their opening game.

Beckham spoke at an event to promote China's largest collegiate football league, saying:

"I believe Argentina will play against England in the final,"

"I think obviously my choice would be England to win the competition, but that's me being biased and passionate about my country."

Lionel Messi missed a penalty against the European minnows and struggled to make a real impact in the game, despite huge expectation before their World Cup opener.

Beckham, of course, was sent off against Argentina in the 1998 World Cup finals, but made up for it when he scored a penalty years later.

Do you think the former Manchester United midfielder makes a valid point? Will England reach the World Cup final?
