BREAKING: Zlatan Ibrahimovic's Time At Manchester United Looks To Be Over

Huge news.

In the last couple of minutes, news has emerged that Manchester United are 'unlikely' to offer striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic a new contract at Old Trafford.

According to Sky Sports, the 35-year-old is expected to appear on the list of players released by the club at 9am tomorrow.

The Swedish international has been ruled out with a cruciate ligament injury since April, and it likely to return to action in January next year.

But that seemingly hasn't convinced Manchester United to offer him a new contract, despite scoring 28 goals this season.

Back in May, Mino Raiola said that Zlatan will not be moving outside of Europe, and though he didn't state whether or not he will be continuing at Old Trafford, he did say that there are a number of potential suitors.

He also noted that he reckons Ibra has enough about him to play for a little longer.

Speaking to Sky Italia, he said:

"Many clubs have asked for Zlatan. He can play two more years and will stay in Europe, 100 per cent."

Ibrahimovic has been subject to plenty of interest from America, and LA Galaxy were reportedly prepared to make him the highest paid player in the MLS.

But it looks like a deal has petered out in recent weeks.

News also emerged that despite him potentially playing his last game in a Manchester United shirt, the club are happy for Zlatan to continue his rehabilitation at their training base even if the striker does not sign a new contract.

Who will sign Zlatan in the summer? Will he come back stronger than ever?
