Juventus have congratulated Cristiano Ronaldo for winning the UEFA Goal of the Season award, following his strike against... Juventus.

Who could forget Ronaldo's bicycle kick goal against Juventus from last season?!

He produced a stunning acrobatic effort in the first-leg of the Champions League quarter-final. Of course, Real Madrid eventually won the competition as Ronaldo continued to net goals for fun.

But it's his goal versus Juventus which has been recognised as UEFA Goal of the Season.

After bagging his fourth Champions League with Real Madrid, the 33-year-old moved on by sealing a transfer to Juventus.

And his new team have saluted his goal by posting a Tweet to the man himself.

Naturally, it got plenty of people talking and not in a good way.

Football fans were quick to take the p**s out of the Italian team including a hilarious reply from fellow Serie A outfit AS Roma.

Juventus will be hoping the next time they congratulate Ronaldo it's winning something for them.
