Jose Mourinho says he "couldn't care less" about the criticism aimed at him by Paul Pogba.

On Friday morning, the Manchester United midfielder explained the differences in coaching and management between Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his former boss, as well as various other topics, in an explosive interview.

The Frenchman, who didn't exactly see eye-to-eye with Mourinho during his time at Old Trafford, also accused the Portuguese manager of casting him aside without any explanation.

"What I have now with Ole is different, he wouldn't go against the players," Pogba told Sky Sports. "He wouldn't go against the players.

"Once I had a great relationship with Mourinho, everybody saw that, and the next day you don't know what happened. That's the strange thing I had with Mourinho and I cannot explain to you because even I don't know. So, yeah."

Hours after Pogba's comments stirred plenty of controversy, the former Manchester United manager gave a very blunt assessment of the situation following Spurs' 2-2 draw against Everton on Friday night.

"I would like to say that I couldn't care less with what he says." Mourinho said. "I am not interested at all."

In his recent interview with Sky Sports, Pogba also explained the difference between Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Jose Mourinho while pointing out some of the Norwegian's best assests.

"Maybe [Solskjaer's methods work] because he is a bit closer to the people," the World Cup winner explained.

"Every coach has their own way to coach and deal with players, and as a player you have to adapt. Sometimes it doesn't suit you and sometimes it does.

"Ole has helped Luke a lot, it was a difficult season with Luke and Mourinho, and he has proved he has the quality he always had and the trust of the manager."

Pogba also spoke about Mourinho's actions after Spurs' defeat against Manchester United last weekend. The 58-year-old slammed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for his comments about Son Heung-Min in his post-match interview.

"I don't know what happened, I'm sure Mourinho said something that would make people speak, that's what he does.

"We got the result we wanted, Ole knows it and we enjoyed that moment because we know Mourinho and we know what he likes. We don't need this [war of words], we just focus on us.

"We won the game, he lost the game and he doesn't want to speak about the game, he wants to speak about the dad of someone, that's what he does. Everybody knows him, it's very Mourinho."

Mourinho had a turbulent and at times, volatile relationship with Pogba during his time at Manchester United and that precarious relationship looked to be at boiling point when awkward footage from Carrington emerged.

The incident was described as 'frosty' at the time, with Pogba's glances at his manager far from welcoming. Mourinho, meanwhile, looked equally as frustrated by his player's actions.

It came after Pogba was stripped of the vice-captaincy.
