'Joe Gomez Is As Good As Raphael Varane And He's The New Bobby Moore'
Joe Gomez 'is up there with Raphael Varane' according to Tony Cascarino.
High praise from Cascarino whose praised the 21-year-old following his heroics for both Liverpool and England.
Gomez continued that great form on Sunday where he starred in defence and even had a role in England's first goal. He launched in a throw-in which was eventually bundled in by Jesse Lingard.
Very proud of Joe's throw-in :muscle::soccer::thumbsup::red_circle: #liverpoolfc #throwincoach #LFC #ENGCRO https://t.co/HbRYIlYiCE

A day removed from England's UEFA Nations League victory, Cascarino spoke glowingly about the ex-Charlton youngster.
"Mark my words, Joe Gomez is destined to be England's first-choice centre half for the next ten years," he said.
The former Chelsea player added: "When the national manager comes to pick his defence, the Liverpool man will be the first name down. For me he is up there with Raphael Varane, of France, as world class.
"Gomez has everything you need in a centre half and more - pace, strength, heading ability, composure and a long throw, too, to provide set-piece chances.
"He has a mentality that reminds me of Bobby Moore, in that he does the simple things so well. He sees the ball and goes and wins it."
Sure, Gomez has enjoyed a brilliant start this season but comparing him Varane is bit a much.
Varane secured a transfer to Real Madrid in 2011 and has since solidified himself as one of the best defenders in world football - arguably the very best centre-back.
We're talking about a serial winner who has produced on the world level season after season. From Champions League success to raising gold for France in the summer.
There's no doubt Gomez is an exciting talent and a budding star, but let the lad continue to hone and develop his game before dropping ridiculous comparisons.
