Barcelona teenager Ilaix Moriba has taken to TikTok to share the horrific racist abuse he has received amid ongoing contract talks.

The 18-year-old midfielder, who is regarded as one of the biggest talents to graduate from La Masia in recent years, has yet to sign a contract extension with the Spanish club as he enters the final 12 months of his current deal.

As a result, the highly-rated youngster has been linked with a move away from Barcelona, with Premier League sides Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City all rumoured to be interested.

As talks continue between both parties, Moriba has shared a video that shows the disgusting racist abuse he has received on social media, with some including monkey and middle finger emojis.

The youngster includes screenshots of the messages and comments in the below TikTok clip before mentioning the phrase "'en serio" - which translates to "seriously?" in English.

Barcelona has since condemned those racist messages on its own Twitter account. "We love football. We fight racism," they wrote before tagging Moriba.

It is believed the Catalan giants have held further talks with Moriba and are understood to be optimistic about renewing his deal.

Many are eager for the youngster to pen a new deal at the Camp Nou, including Barcelona B coach Sergi Barjuan, who has urged the teenager to stay put.

"I've been speaking with (Ilaix) and I told him that I will help with whatever I can, but above all I advised him not to leave," he told Mundo Deportivo.

"I can't get involved beyond that, it's not for me to do that. I can just say that I hope he stays."

Barjuan continued, saying: "It's a new situation and a difficult one for him and for the club, but the important thing is that it doesn't affect him.

"He needs to keep working hard so that if the situation is resolved, he's in shape when the games arrive. He's doing that, he's managing a tough moment well."
