Gennaro Gattuso Hugs Players On Pitch, Then Starts Fights With Them Because He's Gennaro Gattuso

Well this is one way to manage your team...

Gennaro Gattuso was one of football's most feared individuals during his 18 year playing career.

The Italian's explosive personality and playing style was one of his biggest traits, so it's not surprising that he's transferred those fiery emotions into management.

Just four months after taking over as AC Milan manager, Gattuso has helped the Serie A giants go 10 games unbeaten, with many suggesting his unusual man management style may be a factor behind their impressive form.

Gattuso even admitted that his job "is to be the players' nightmare until the end of the season" and after their win against Sampdoria on Sunday evening, his brutal, but entertaining man management style was there for all to see.

The 40-year-old showed his appreciation by hugging his players and starting fights with them because, well, he's Gennaro Gattuso and he's a very scary bloke.

There's two examples that have emerged since last night's game - the first being this interaction with midfielder Riccardo Montolivo.

Shortly after Montolivo was slapped around the head for no apparent reason, the former AC Milan midfielder approached a number of other players to either hug them or give them a piece of his mind.

Check out his reaction to Hakan Çalhanoğlu, who has been transformed under the management of Gattuso.

As we mentioned earlier, AC Milan are now 10 games unbeaten across all competitions and perhaps his advice to those like Patrick Cutrone is a reason behind the club's good run of form.

Despite spending a lot of money in the summer one of their standout performers this term has been Patrick Cutrone, the 20 year old has five goals in just eight starts in the league.

Gattuso has since given him some brilliant advice:

Ladies and gentlemen: the one and only, Gennaro Gattuso.
