Gary Neville thinks the sacking of David Moyes after eight months in charge is when problems started to occur at his former club Manchester United.

Despite signing a six year deal at Old Trafford in May 2013, the former Everton manager was sacked after less than a year in charge, something that Neville believes has a negative impact on the club and its values.

"This mess started when United sacked David Moyes after 8 months and we lost all sense of the values that the club had been built on for 100 years." he said on his official Twitter account.

"It's not the manager it's the lack of football leadership above him. They are bouncing all over the place with no plan!"

It has been a worrying time for United fans, and yesterday's result against West Ham was the final straw for many.

West Ham took home all three points after goals from Filipe Anderson, Victor Lindelof (OG) and Marko Arnautovic helped them climb out of the relegation zone.

The result heaps more pressure on Mourinho's already fragile status at the club, with the Paul Pogba situation still looming over Old Trafford, but do Manchester United need to act now or give the former Chelsea boss more time?

#MourinhoOut began to trend on Twitter throughout the game, giving us an indication of how many United fans feel about recent displays.

Thoughts on Gary Neville's statement about Moyes? Was it the start of this 'mess'?
