Furious Fan Calls For Jurgen Klopp To Be Axed As He Claims Liverpool Are 'Going Backwards'

The Liverpool fan believes that replacing Jurgen Klopp with Diego Simeone or Massimiliano Allegri "might shake things up" at the Reds.

A frustrated Liverpool fan has argued that Jurgen Klopp has "lost his magic" and the Reds are "going backwards" after their form has dipped in recent weeks.

Liverpool have only managed one win this month and have been dumped out of the FA Cup and suffered a blow in their Premier League title defence.

The Reds suffered a shock defeat to Southampton at St Mary's earlier this month, but they would manage to bounce back with a 4-1 win over Aston Villa in the third round of the FA Cup.

However, Liverpool would pick up a 0-0 draw against title rivals Manchester United at Anfield before they were stunned in a 1-0 defeat to Burnley last week.

Klopp's men crashed out of the FA Cup on Sunday thanks to a 3-2 defeat to United at Old Trafford.

Liverpool trail the Red Devils by six points in the league table, but one Liverpool fan believes enough is enough for Klopp's time at Anfield.

Speaking to Robbie Savage on BBC Radio 5's Live Sport, the Liverpool fan said that the club "never do well in the FA Cup under Klopp" and he believes that the appointment of Diego Simeone or Massimiliano Allegri "might shake things up."

He explained: "I was thinking about the timescale of Liverpool managers. [Gerard] Houllier, five years roughly; [Rafa] Benitez, five years; [Kenny] Dalglish about five years.

"Maybe Jurgen Klopp... no, no, because look, thanks he's won the Premier League and he's won the Champions League, but Liverpool are going backwards and maybe Jurgen Klopp's lost his magic.

"He's done very well for Liverpool, but we're going backwards and we never do well in the FA Cup under Klopp and I just feel maybe a Simeone or an Allegri might shake things up, but he can't get any more out of the club."

The Liverpool fan later told Chris Sutton that the Reds' poor form was "not a blip" and believes that the break-up of the team could happen if "Liverpool don't win anything this season."

He continued: "It's not a blip. What do you call the Aston Villa 7 Liverpool 2 result? What do you call losing at home to Burnley and away at Southampton?

"Not scoring for four matches when you've got [Mohamed] Salah, [Roberto] Firmino and [Sadio] Mane up front? This is clearly something wrong.

"Mane, I'm not sure whether Mane or Salah's gonna leave. I think Salah wanted to go to Real Madrid.

"Quite clearly [Georginio] Wijnaldum wants to go to Barcelona. I think it's gonna be a break-up of the team if Liverpool don't win anything this season and Klopp says it's his fault -- and it is his fault!"

Liverpool will return to Premier League action on Thursday with an away trip to Tottenham.
