It was a moment that summed up Dejan Lovren's 'indecisive' performance against Manchester City on Thursday night.
Lovren was arguably at fault for Sergio Aguero's opener in the first half, and made several mistakes as Pep Guardiola's side closed the gap at the top to four points.
It was a performance that frustrated many, including teammate Virgil van Dijk.

In the 93rd minute, the Croatian defender had the chance to pump the ball into the box from range, but his lofted pass went for a goal-kick and Van Dijk couldn't hide his frustration.
It looks like the Dutch centre-back, who is often cool, calm and collected in high pressure situations, wanted the ball to be launched into the box at a different angle, judging by his hand gestures.
Lovren's wayward pass summed up a disappointing night for Jurgen Klopp's men.

Goals from Sergio Aguero and Leroy Sane meant Liverpool suffered their first league defeat of the season, and Van Dijk was far from happy.
Vincent Kompany's foul on Salah was a big talking point in the game.
It drew a yellow card but the City captain was perhaps lucky to not end with an early bath.
With the win in the bag and having avoided the red card, Kompany was clearly in the mood to joke with Van Dijk at full time but the Liverpool defender wasn't interested in friendly banter.
