Scottish Challenge Cup Rebranded As 'The Tunnocks Caramel Wafer' Cup

What is going on?!

The Scottish Challenge Cup has rebranded as The Tunnocks Caramel Wafer Challenge Cup and people think it takes the absolute biscuit.

Formerly known as Irn-Bru Cup, the first round draw was concluded on Wednesday afternoon as the likes of Edinburgh City, Stenhousemuir and Peterhead featured among a plethora of European giants.

Conducted by former Scottish international Billy Dodds, SPFL chief executive Neil Doncaster and a bloke wearing a lab coat, it was a mouthful at times.

All we needed was Rod Stewart to turn up with a Caramel Wafer and Scottish football would have officially peaked.

As expected, the fixtures weren't exactly the biggest talking point of the draw.

"If only the balls were decorated like tea cakes" might have been the best suggestion of the day.

If you are genuinely interested in who Hamilton Accies Colts will face in August, then you've come to the right place.

Here are the fixtures in full:

Clyde v Motherwell Colts or Spartans
Annan Athletic v Kelty Hearts or Kilmarnock Colts
Hamilton Accies Colts or BSC Glasgow v Airdrieonians
Dumbarton v St Mirren Colts or East Kilbride
Stenhousemuir v Edinburgh City
Falkirk v Queen's Park or Celtic Colts
Stranraer v Berwick Rangers or Rangers Colts
Albion Rovers or Hearts Colts v Cowdenbeath
Fraserburgh or Ross County Colts v Raith Rovers
Brora Rangers or Aberdeen Colts v St Johnstone Colts or Cove Rangers
Peterhead v Livingston Colts or Formartine United
East Fife v Stirling Albion
Brechin City v Hibs Colts or Elgin City
Montrose v Forfar Athletic

Thoughts on the new name? I just hope teams don't crumble in this competition.
