Manchester United fan favourite Patrice Evra delighted some of his adoring fans ahead of Saturday's crunch Manchester Derby by performing his own rendition of Oasis' famous track Wonderwall.

The 40-year-old former France international, who made 278 appearances for the Reds during an eight-year stay, has been known to fuel the fire with digs at the so-called 'noisy neighbours'.

And on Friday night, as he spoke about his long-awaited autobiography I Love This Game on stage at The Lowry theatre in Salford, a mischievous Evra decided to sing a special tune for the City faithful.

Like he has done on numerous occasions down the years, Evra - a five-time Premier League winner - dropped some serious bars about City's lack of history when it comes to winning trophies.

"I said maybeeeee... you're going to win it when I'm nintteeeyyyy," he sings. "And after all... you're my noisy neighbouuurrrssss."

It was also an emotional night for Evra, who opened up about the place he calls home. He also spoke about how football saved him from being sucked into gang culture, and his take on the incident involving former Liverpool striker Luis Suarez.

Back in May, shortly after City lost in the Champions League final against Chelsea, the former defender aimed a not-so-subtle dig at the Gallagher brothers.

With Oasis' smash hit 'Wonderwall' playing in the background [again], Evra took no prisoners while wearing a wig and glasses similar to the iconic Gallagher look.

"Liam, where are you?!" Evra begun. "You remember when you were laughing at me when United lost? Now it is your turn.

"Don't be jealous, I just want to share. This is a special Monday for you Liam. Stop saying Manchester is blue, I have more trophies than your entire club! Noel, Noel!"

Never change, Patrice.
