Kyle Walker was right. Benjamin Mendy is relentless when it comes to social media and the Manchester City left-back was at it again on Wednesday afternoon.

If you didn't already know, shortly after Tuesday night's Champions League fixture against Shakhtar Donetsk, Pep Guardiola revealed that Mendy would be out for a long period of time, saying: "I think it is going to be a major setback.", during his post-match press conference via BBC.

Several journalists also spoke of the situation on Tuesday evening:

It was previously suggested that Mendy would be out for some time, but Guardiola confirmed that the player could be out for longer, adding: "Wait until Thursday but I am pretty sure that it will unfortunately be a little bit longer than we expected or would like."

Despite calls from Guardiola to wait until Thursday, journalist Duncan Castles claimed that Mendy has 'ruptured an ACL.'

The Sunday Times journalist then went onto claim that the former Monaco defender could be out for 9 months because of 'rehab process'.

Mendy proceeded to reply to Castles' claim on his famous Twitter account, questioning why he spoke like a 'graduated doctor'.

He then went onto state that he himself didn't know whether his ACL was ruptured:

Benjamin Mendy is ruthless and doesn't Kyle Walker know it.

Earlier this month, Manchester City thrashed Liverpool 5-0 in the Premier League lunch time kick-off, so, it goes without saying, Mendy had something in his social media locker following the impressive victory.

Once the full-time whistle blew, the French defender posted a hilarious Tweet about Walker.

He posted a picture of the England international dramatically falling to the ground accompanied with the words: "Someone please find the sniper in the stands !! Hahaha Kyle Walker u ok boi ?!"

Never change, Benjamin.
