All-time great Gianluigi Buffon has been recorded performing an initiation song for his new Paris Saint-Germain team-mates, much to their delight.

Sports teams and universities around the world steeped with their own rituals can rest assured that even the pros get in on the action too.

Buffon, who has won nearly everything in his professional career, was filmed by team-mates Neymar and Marco Verratti singing from atop a dining room chair following a team meal, clad in his new PSG attire and black sunglasses to complete the look.

The veteran goalkeeper is Italy's most capped player and is second for Juventus, behind only fellow club legend Del Piero, and made the move to French champions PSG, ending a 17-year stay in Turin earlier this summer.

It is thought that the Italian will establish himself as the number one between the sticks in the French capital, but he will have to battle it out with German Kevin Trapp, and Frenchman Alphonse Areola as he is not guaranteed starts.

"Obviously I'm 40 years old, but I am in good health and I'm mentally strong," said Buffon at his press conference.

"Everyone will try to have an important role in the squad. I will try to show that I am still a good goalkeeper. I want to keep playing until my body can't keep going. When that's the case, I'll stop. When I started at Juventus, I wanted to fit in and succeed. I have joined Paris with a child's enthusiasm."

Can PSG help Buffon claim a Champions League title that has proved elusive so far? Let us know down below.
