Diego Maradona is never far from the headlines, or controversy for that matter, but this post-match interview following Dorados' defeat to Juarez at the weekend might rank as his most bizarre yet...and that's saying something.

The 58-year-old spoke to ESPN following the game and well, it took him a while to answer the question.

When asked about the MX League and its current level, Maradona said the following. No subtitles needed for this one, folks:

Is this the biggest pause in an interview ever? I know Wayne Rooney and his mate Steven Gerrard loved a good "erm..." during interviews but this takes it to a whole new level.

If you didn't already know, Diego has been appointed the manager of an actual, real life football club and it means only one thing. Entertainment.

Mexican second-tier side Dorados de Sinaloa decided to give the 57-year-old a chance to make an impact at the Banorte Stadium, replacing Francisco Gamez, who was sacked as coach earlier this month.

That means two of the biggest names in world football have either played or managed Dorados.

Maradona has started his managerial reign with relative success and after recording a comfortable 2-0 win against Leones Negros last month, the former World Cup winner produced the goods.

After the full-time whistle, he celebrated by dancing with one of his players because y'know, he's Diego Maradona and he does what he wants.

Have you ever seen a manager do this before? No, didn't think so.

Maradona was embroiled in controversy at the World Cup this summer, so it may come as a surprise to some that he has taken steps into management.

The 57-year-old was in attendance for Nigeria vs. Argentina as 'La Albiceleste' secured passage to the next round of the World Cup in dramatic fashion, but footage emerged of him being carried up stairs.

He also gave the middle finger to fans during the tie

Can Maradona lead Dorados to glory in the coming months?
