The Internet Is Full Of Danny Welbeck Memes After He Wins Biggest Dive Of The Season Award

Danny Welbeck found himself on the scoresheet during Arsenal's Europa League win against AC Milan on Thursday night, but the England international was criticised for his diving antics.

The incident happened in the first half when he 'collided' with Milan defender Ricardo Rodríguez in the penalty box.

Welbeck proceeded to go down like he was competing in the 2020 Olympics and the referee controversially gave the spot kick. Was it a penalty?

As you can imagine, the internet reacted in style to the incident and a flurry of memes soon filled Twitter feeds.

Arsenal eventually went on to win the game comfortably on aggregate, but this moment in particular was the biggest talking point throughout the game as Gennaro Gattuso paced on the touchline.
