Is Robert Huth heading to Derby County? Nope. He's retired.

A football agent claimed the German defender was on the verge of joining Derby after agreeing an 18-month contract.

"To clarify re: @Robert_Huth joining #DCFC. Huth and his agent have agreed an 18 month deal to join the Rams. Frank Lampard and the #DCFC board have informed them they want him signed by the 18th January. #DCFC terms agreed with Huth and the club. The end of Keogh?" John Harriott posted on Twitter.

However, 'this literally couldn't be less true'. That's according to the man himself.

The Premier League winner brilliantly denied such transfer.

"This literally couldn't be less true. Ive retired! (I just haven't done an interview and cried about it)," he said quote-Tweeting John's post.

Huth's ruthless reply sent social media into overdrive:

He doesn't often Tweet but when he does, it's normally a classic.

The 34-year-old has enjoyed spells at Chelsea, Boro, Stoke City and, of course, Leicester City where he won the league title in 2016.

Enjoy retirement, Robert.
