A Manchester City fan has put Steven Gerrard on full blast in a Twitter thread by branding him one of the 'most overrated players in Premier League history.'
The 40-year-old Liverpool hero spent the majority of his club playing career at Anfield and is widely regarded as one of the best players in the league's history.

But Twitter user James has attempted to 'expose' Gerrard and pointed to the supposed cracks in the football legend's resume.
The City fan pointed towards the former England international never winning a Premier League title and 'lives off his one night in Istanbul.'
However, the thread has sparked backlash from other fans as they called out the brutal assessment made on Gerrard.
One fan posted in response: "Ask the players he played with and against what they thought of Gerrard, you'll find the answer quite clear, for example Wayne Rooney who said Gerrard was the best player he played with and against, Rooney played with some decent players, so..."
A second tweeted: "Even [Zinedine] Zidane said Gerrard was the best player in the world at one point."
