Through video review, James Tarkowski conceded a penalty on his debut which was subsequently converted by Lorenzo Insigne.

But, that didn't stop England fans from praising Lingard and Sterling.
The respective Manchester United and Manchester City attackers were heralded for their display, who are developing a budding partnership which is proving to be potent in front of goal.

Lingard and Sterling will be back in England colours at the end of the season when they take on Nigeria then Costa Rica, before heading to Russia.
