Alexis Sanchez was given the Man of the Match award after his impressive cameo for Manchester United on Friday evening.

The 29-year-old lost possession 27 times in the first half, which is an FA Cup record in the 2017-18 season, but he was an attacking threat throughout and notched two assists on his debut.

The former Arsenal winger received over 14k votes at the time of writing, but Yeovil's official Twitter account weren't exactly complimentary about the Chilean's performance at Huish Park.

"Alexis is announced as man of the match. Not sure who picked it but that's a commercially-driven decision if ever there was one!" the account tweeted just before the full-time whistle.

Thoughts?

Sanchez didn't exactly receive a warm welcome from the home support, but the former Arsenal winger looked lively on his United debut - just don't tell the person who runs Yeovil's social media account.

Throughout the FA Cup tie chants of "what a waste of money" and "you're just a shit Guardiola" could be heard from the stands, but one song in particular brought plenty of laughs on Twitter.

The biggest flops in Manchester United's history:

"You dropped a tenner, Alexis" was uttered from the mouth of one Yeovil fan, as told by journalist Henry Winter.

Thoughts on Alexis' debut? Will he flourish under Mourinho in the coming months?
