A total of ten Paris Saint-Germain players were trapped in a lift ahead of their Champions League Group H clash against RB Leipzig, with firefighters eventually being called to save the day.

The club were staying in the GrandHotel Handelshof in Leipzig when the unfortunate incident occured.

Players returned from training just after 9pm when the elavator broke down.

It is believed the players involved in the incident included Presnel Kimpembe, Leandro Paredes, Angel Di Maria, Marquinhos, Bandiougou Fadiga, Abdou Diallo, Idrissa Gueye, Moise Kean, Colin Dagba and Kays Ruiz-Atil.

PSG full-back Layvin Kurzawa, on the other hand, must have taken the stairs and moments later, he uploaded footage of the ordeal to his Instagram story.

You can see the deleted clip below.

According to French publication Le Parisien, Kurzawa can be heard asking: "It's okay?" before laughing. Soon a voice answers him: "It's not okay brother!"

When another player asks "Who's inside?", a voice from the cabin bursts into laughter and says:" Neymar, Mbappé!, but of course, the pair aren't with the squad after being ruled out by injury.

PSG's preparations for the Champions League group stage clash in Germany have been far from ideal, with those two injuries coming as a huge blow in their quest for three points.

Neymar, who is expected to be sidelined until after the international break, suffered a groin injury in last week's tie against Basaksehir, while Mbappe sustained a muscular injury in last weekend's win against Nantes.

Do you think PSG stand a chance against the Bundesliga outfit tonight?
