Sergio Ramos' Record When It Comes To Being Carded Is Actually Insane

Are you actually surprised?

If I told you that Sergio Ramos was the most carded Real Madrid player of all time, would you be surprised?

Well that stat is indeed correct. In fact the 32-year-old is the most carded player in the history of La Liga, and is also the most carded player in the Champions League.

Oh and he is the most carded player for his country....and the most carded player in El Clásico history.

That''s right. Ramos received a yellow against Barcelona on Wednesday night, which means he has actually accumulated over 200 yellow cards and 24 red cards in his career thus far, which is crazy when you think about it.

To be fair, when Ramos received a yellow in the 10th minute, who thought he'd last the full 90? Not me.

He was actually close to receiving another red card after a late tackle on midfielder Arthur, but he dodged another yellow and managed to see out the full game.

If you break those 24 red cards down, he has 19 in La Liga, three in the Champions League and two in the Copa del Rey but in the year 2018, the defender went the full year without a single red.

Away from Ramos' incredible card record, things looked promising for his side when Los Blancos took the lead in the sixth minute against Barcelona .

Karim Benzema squared the ball to Lucas Vazquez in the area, and the winger tapped in the cross to give Madrid a deserved lead.

Malcom found an equaliser in the 57th minute, though, showing great composure after Luis Suarez hit the post moments earlier as the game finished 1-1.

Never change, Sergio.
