Manchester United have recorded one of their best starts to a Premier League season yet.

But football fans can be fickle and after their defeat against Huddersfield Town on Saturday afternoon, many have slated Jose Mourinho's side.

Aaron Mooy opened the scoring after pouncing on a rebound from Tom Ince's shot and Laurent Depoitre then made the most of a Victor Lindelof mistake, giving newly promoted Huddersfield a deserved 2-0 lead at half-time.

It was a disaster from start to finish for Jose Mourinho and his Manchester United side.

Moments after the full-time whistle blew, a tweet surfaced from United's official Twitter account and it soon went viral for all the wrong reasons.

The tweet read: "Our first-ever @PremierLeague visit to Huddersfield - let's make it a memorable one!"

As we all know, Huddersfield managed to pull off a historic 2-1 victory at the John Smith stadium.

Fans rushed to the above tweet and the reaction speaks for itself:

We could go on for a very long time.

Thoughts on Manchester United's performance against Huddersfield on Saturday afternoon? Did Mourinho field the right side?
