It goes from bad to worse for Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius.

The 25-year-old has produced yet another embarrassing error during a friendly against Tranmere on Tuesday evening, fumbling a free-kick to hand Jonny Smith a tap in from close range.

Karius, who made his return to action for the first time since his Champions League final horror show last week, playing 45 minutes in a 7-0 friendly thrashing of Chester, has been criticised in recent weeks.

And this gaffe in Liverpool's second pre-season tie has not helped his cause as fans continue to cast doubts.

Liverpool might have come out victorious in a close 3-2 victory, but Karius' mistake in the second half has been the biggest talking point as Jurgen Klopp prepares for the start of the 2018/19 Premier League season.

Fans are doubting whether the German shot-stopper will be able to bounce back from his errors during the Champions League final.

One Twitter user said: "What we've just seen from Karius is an indication that he hasn't bounced back from his major errors," while others suggested that the club need to move in the transfer window for another goalkeeper.

Here are some other reactions from social media:

Does Jurgen Klopp need to make a move in the transfer window to replace Karius or should he continue to put his faith in the German?
