It didn't go down well with some fans.

Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho interrupted Son Heung-min's post-match interview after the South Korean international bagged four goals against Southampton on Sunday.

The 28-year-old became the first Asian player in history to score four goals in a single match in the top five leagues, with Harry Kane assisting every single one of his strikes in the 5-2 romp against Ralph Hasenhüttl's side.

Kane, who eventually got himself on the scoresheet with a 82nd minute finish, also became the first-ever English player to assist four goals in a single Premier League match.

It was a historic day all round for the North London side and after the full-time whistle, as Son was being asked about his goalscoring heroics, Mourinho entered the interview to give his two cents about the game.

"Man of the Match -- Harry Kane." Mourinho said, before quickly walking away.

Son, of course, was humble as ever. "Yes, I would say that" but for many fans, his manager's comments didn't go down well.

After the comment, Son composed himself and continued, saying: "I will say that Harry is the Man of the Match because he scored one goal, he gave four assists.

"With Harry we were working together so long, this is the sixth season. We know each other, we want to have a good relationship on the pitch and even off the pitch.

"I think we work really, really hard to have a better relationship, even better than now. So obviously it's not perfect, but we're going to have a perfect relationship."

But Mourinho wasn't done there. He then interrupted Harry Kane's post-match interview and once again reiterated that the England international was his Man of the Match.
