Jose Mourinho has been relieved of his duties as Manchester United manager today - and Graeme Souness reckons either Roy Keane or Ryan Giggs could the man to replace him at Old Trafford.

The Special One was shown the door following Sunday's pathetic showing against Liverpool at Anfield, an iconic stadium which was once Souness's stomping ground.

And that was simply the final straw for the United hierarchy.

The attention now turns to who could replace Mourinho, with the likes of Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino or ex-Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane heading up the list.

But Sky Sports pundit Souness reckons Ed Woodward doesn't have to be too exotic when it comes to filling the vacancy, and pointed to two club legends.

Now, it should be mentioned that Giggs is still currently in charge of Wales, and has only a handful of senior matches under his belt as a fully-fledged manager behind him, whilst Keane's managerial record is patchy - to say the least.

Whilst both are genuine and undeniable United legends, could they really be considered as a potential replacement for Mourinho?
