Manchester United legend Patrice Evra has stunned fans by bringing up Wilfried Zaha's alleged fling with David Moyes' daughter during a live TV broadcast.

Zaha, 27, was Sir Alex Ferguson's final United signing in 2013 before the legendary Scotsman called it time on his glittering managerial career.

The Ivorian star would experience an ill-fated spell at Old Trafford under Moyes, who succeeded Ferguson as United manager.

However, intense speculation emerged that Zaha had a supposed affair with Lauren Moyes, which contributed to his fractured relationship with the then-United manager.

Evra, who is a pundit for Sky Sports on the 2020-21 season, once again brought the rumour back up ahead of Crystal Palace's clash with United.

"I remember he was such an electric player, but then he had this affair with David Moyes' daughter," he said.

Sky Sports' Kelly Cates responded to the former United left-back's claim by saying they "don't know the background to that story."

She explained: "We don't know the background to that story, so probably best leave that one for now."

However, that hasn't stopped Evra from going viral on Twitter after bringing up the subject of Zaha and Moyes' daughter.

Zaha, who only made four appearances for United, had three loan spells at Palace before making his switch back to the Eagles permanent in 2015.

The Ivory Coast international has vehemently denied the affair and insisted that he has "never even met his daughter."
