Gary Lineker caught the moment with a picture as he took to social media: "Turning the other cheek. @Everton fans' reaction to YNWA."

Naturally, Everton fans turning their backs to 'YNWA' got fans talking.

"Good idea. Whenever I don't want to hear a song I turn my back as well and then it mutes it," one social media user wrote.

A second tweeted: "Probably tired of being reminded that they're the city's second best team."

A third wrote: "Fantastic and it's what all fans should do against a boring anthem" to which a Liverpool user replied by saying: "One of the most iconic anthems in world football. Sit down!!"

Liverpool went onto beat Everton 1-0 thanks to a stunning strike from 18-year-old local lad Curtis Jones.
