An Everton fan has shockingly accused Liverpool of being on performance enhancing drugs following their victory over Sheffield United.

Liverpool beat Sheffield United 2-0 at Anfield to restore their 13-point lead at the top of the Premier League table. The club have now gone an incredible 365 days without a league defeat.

Liverpool's 19th league win of the 2019/20 season got fans talking online with an Everton stoking the rivalry ahead of Sunday's FA Cup clash by throwing a wild accusation.

"Defo on drugs this Liverpool team , will get stripped of that prem title in a few years followed by a Netflix scandal documentary, plus all the VAR shit this season, 19/20 season doesn't mean anything," Mark Jessop wrote on Twitter.

Mark then posted another tweet: "It's amazing how many people have taken it seriously Danny."

But his initial comment sent social media into overdrive with some Everton fans appearing to agree with him.

"I been suggesting it for over 12 months now that they are on some sort of drugs, it's the German mentality..win at all costs ...it might take years for it to come to light though and it will be too late then, I just hope they get thrown out of football when it does," one social media user wrote.

A second tweeted: "Milner like a man possessed, how old is he again, cant possibly keep that up, has anyone ever been tested since Rio."

Another added: "Being an avid follower of athletics with all its drugs scandals, I have been very suspicious of Liverpool for some time. Their rate of recovery is totally unnatural - if they were athletes or cyclists, serious questions would be asked and rightly so."
