Eden Hazard hilariously pretended to be injured after kicking a ball during training ahead of Real Madrid's Champions League match.

Hazard, 29, is set to play his first game of the new season after a series of injury setbacks.

And he appears to be in good spirits ahead of potentially featuring against Borussia Monchengladbach despite his injury woes.

In training, the Belgium star pretended to be injured after kicking a ball.

He clutched his thigh and limped as he joked with teammate Vinicius Junior.

Fans on social media loved Hazard poking fun at himself.

One Twitter user wrote: "Eden Hazard acting like he's injured after kicking a ball. Back with his jokes."

A second tweeted: "Love Eden Hazard's sense of humour!! Here he is back training with Real Madrid pretending his injured again."

Hazard has struggled with injuries since signing for the Spanish giants from Chelsea in 2019.

On Monday, Zinedine Zidane hinted that Hazard could be involved for his side's game against Gladbach.

"If Hazard is with us it is because he is well and that is good news. We are all happy to see him with us," he said.

"Tomorrow we will see how we are going to use him. It is very positive news for us.

"We know that the season is long and we are going to need everyone. It is true, I have always said it, because they are players who always play.

"It is true that we have had problems on the wing, but there are other players who can replace them and it will not give us problems."
