Naturally, Nasri's best bits got fans reminiscing online.

A third added: "Samir Nasri was top top class. Ball control and dribbling was next level."
Another wrote: "Such a magical baller, I'd do anything to rewatch him in Arsenal-City days all over again."
In the summer of 2016, Nasri swapped Man City for Sevilla after a glorious spell in England's top flight.
He went onto play for Antalyaspor in Turkey before returning to the Premier League in the shape of a short-term deal at West Ham.
Nasri was a free agent following his release by Anderlecht but on Sunday, he decided to officially hang up his boots.
