You did read that headline correctly - the Chinese Super League now want to raid the Premier League for referee's rather than players.

From Oscar to Ramires, the Chinese Super League have spent millions and millions on Premier League players in the not so distant past, and now they want FA Cup final, Champions League final and Euros final referee Mark Clattenburg amongst the ranks.

Clattenburg is being targeted by China's incredible spending spree, as they 'want to be seen to be cleaning up their act', according to The Mirror.

Match fixing and corruption scandals within Chinese football is a huge issue, and they want the man who was crowned the world's best referee at the Globe Soccer Awards this month as a key part of the clean up mission.

If Oscar is being paid 400k-a-week at Shanghai, it certainly begs the question - how much will Mark Clattenburg earn in China?

Who knows, but it'll come out sooner rather than later.
