Alvaro Morata missed a sitter on Sunday and Marco Asensio's reaction says it all.

Spain failed to progress to the UEFA Nations League semi-final following England's dramatic victory against Croatia - IT'S COMING HOME...

But 'La Roja' were in action over the weekend in the form of a international friendly versus Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Spain debutant Brais Mendez netted the only goal of the game in the 78th minute though the hosts could - and should - of had the lead earlier if it wasn't for Morata horribly fluffing his lines from six yards out.

Asensio broke into the box and unleashed a rasping shot which was parried into the path of Morata, who failed to hit the back of the net in embarrassing fashion.

He won't want to see that again. Social media was unforgiving:

It's an unfortunate miss but the 26-year-old has enjoyed a rich vein of form. He bagged against Burnley and Crystal Palace in recent Premier League fixtures.

Anyway, Chelsea fans will be hoping he's firing on all cylinders when 'The Blues' resume their league campaign at Wembley Stadium to face Spurs.
