The Blues conclude the 2018/19 campaign with a trophy after beating Arsenal 4-1 in the Europa League final.

After a goalless first-half, ex-Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud broke the deadlock just minutes after the break. He headed home from an Emerson cross to put his team one-up.

Pedro doubled his side's advantage after tucking away inside the box.

Eden Hazard then made it three from the spot. He coolly converted a penalty in the 65th minute.

Second-half substitute Alex Iwobi pulled one back courtesy of a stunning finish from outside the box.

But Chelsea restored their three-goal advantage in superb fashion. Giroud set-up Hazard who scored his second goal of the night.

Maurizio Sarri, who remains subject to intense speculation, has secured his first major trophy in his managerial career.

The Italian boss has been strongly linked with Juventus' managerial vacancy.

Arsenal, meanwhile, not only miss out on European silverware but also a spot in next season's Champions League, after finishing the Premier League season in fifth place.
