Celtic Embarrass Rangers To Win The League Title

There may never be a better Scottish Premiership win for Celtic than this afternoon's annihilation.

There's no better way to win the league than by smashing your rivals to bits. That's exactly what Celtic did to win their seventh consecutive Scottish league title by destroying Rangers.

Brendan Rodgers' side knew they would be champions if they beat Rangers at Celtic Park on Sunday afternoon and from the very start it never looked like there would be any other result.

It was down to Rangers' keeper Jan Alnwick to spare their early blushes but Odsonne Edouard still put the Hoops ahead on 13 minutes. It was still all Celtic and in six minutes of play either side of half time they bagged three more goals.

Edouard made it 2-0 on 40 minutes, James Forrest added the third on the stroke of half time and just one minute after the restart Tom Rogic made it 4-0. It wasn't long later that Celtic made it five through Callum McGregor.

It was a total embarrassment for the Ibrox side and proved Celtics domination of their rivals and the league as they picked up their seventh consecutive title and their 48th title overall.

It's certainly not a good day for Rangers' fans.

That's the way you win a league title in style!
