Carlo Ancelotti: "If We Don't Qualify, We Are A**holes"

Napoli are 'a**holes'.

Two weeks ago, Carlo Ancelotti said his team would be 'a**holes' if they didn't qualify for the Champions League knockout phase.

On Tuesday, Napoli failed to secure a spot in the next round.

Ouch.

"Well I think many people have been surprised seeing Napoli competing with very high profile teams," the veteran boss said prior to facing Red Star Belgrade in match day 5.

"We have been a real surprise in this group and I think those same people would be even more surprised if we manage to go through the next stage.

"If we don't qualify instead we can call ourselves... a**hole.

"At this stage of the competition I truly believe that if we don't qualify we should call ourself a**hole."

Liverpool clinched a place in the next round of the Champions League after beating their Italian counterparts 1-0 thanks to a superb goal from Mohamed Salah.

Paris Saint-Germain top Group C with Jurgen Klopp's side in the pot for the knockout draw.
